What are hair extensions?


Hair extensions are most commonly used to add length, thickness and volume to a client's natural hair. There are several methods which can be used to apply commercial hair to your natural hair. The ones we find most popular are shown on our site.

 

Are hair extensions suitable for me?

For most people they are great. There may however be some factors which make your hair unsuitable, these will be discussed at your consultation if necessary. 

 
 

How long will my hair extensions last?

Depending on the method you choose, up to 3 months, with correct care & maintenance.

 
 

Why can't I keep my hair extensions in for more than 3 months?


It is important that your hair extensions are removed at this point. If you keep them in too long you risk damage to own hair, as they can start to matt at the root area, due to your own hairs growth and natural shedding.


Can I reuse the hair extensions once they are removed?

Some of the techniques allow the hair extensions to be re-used. These are generally the Weft Applications and in some cases the individual Micro Ring Method. This is only if you have maintained them well whilst wearing them. When you have your extensions removed, we will assess suitability of re-using the hair for you.

 
How long will it take to fit my hair extensions?

The attachment process can take around 3-4 hours for strand-by-strand methods and between 1 - 3 hours for wefted methods.

 

I have never had extensions in before, what if I change my mind after they are applied?

We will always do our best to ensure you are happy with your hair when we leave, as we cannot offer refunds due to the nature of this product/service.

 

Why is 'half a head' only advised for thickness and not length?

'Half a head' is a phrase commonly used to describe a client's requirement for hair extensions, that are generally worn for thickness only. This is great for a fuller look. However, as you would not have the same amount of hair extensions applied to that of a 'Full head', it is very difficult to acheive a longer look without your extensions looking too false and thin, unless a full amount of hair extensions are used. The best option for you will be discussed at your consultation, taking various factors of your own, natural hair in to consideration.
 

How much do I have to pay on my consultation?

Once you are happy to book your hair extensions application with us, a 50% deposit is required to secure your appointment. The rest is payable on the day of your fitting.

 

What are your Cancellation / Refund Policies?

If for any reason you change your mind, before your hair extensions are applied, the deposit paid on your consultation is non-refundable. If you want to change the day or time of your fitting please give 24 hours notice. Once your hair extensions have been applied, as mentioned above please appreciate the fact that due to the nature of hair extensions and hair extensions application services we are unable to offer a refund.

 

Do I need to have a consultation or can I just book my hair extensions fitting straight away?

We understand that you may wish your Flawless Hair Extensions were applied yesterday! You do however always require a consultation first so we can ensure suitability, recommend the best method for your hair and of course do a colour match.
